Picture this. It is the seventh day of the week. You have aged enough to recognize the arrival of the calm and blissful spring. Your hair, now turned grey, have witnessed your maturation and know, how keen your heart is to welcome the upcoming phase of time.
You move towards the window of your bedroom. The cold breeze brushing off your hair onto your face awaits the dawn with you. It’s all calm.
Standing there, in solidarity, softly closing your eyes you experience a trail of memories moving, in no general order of their happening.

But a specific one just stays, as if your entire being revolves around it’s happening. You are well aware of how your brain tricks you onto re-living the anecdote, yet you grant it the allowance to do so. Numerous springs have passed since it’s happening, yet you can feel the rush of emotions anew. The capability of re-living the memories or the strength to time-travel gives you a sense of pride and remorse, altogether. With a deep inhalation of the calm environment, you make your senses all aware of your successful existence. Underneath your heavy breaths of contentment, living the unaltered phase of life, you feel proud having made it out alive. Where in your life had become a question mark and your aspirations were ashes when your smiles had vanished and your tears ceased to stop when you thought if you could ever breathe the same way and could you get the unaltered routine back when the wise narrated the same phrase on loop- “ Time heals everything.”

Since then, it’s been the same phrase which has to lead you out of unbearable circumstances. You actually believed and preached of time being the inevitable medication to deep wounds which possessed the power to heal all that hurt while sewing the tattered soul.

Ages have passed and here you stand, at the epitome of serenity, immersed in the times that once was unbearable. Yet, you wonder, “Did time actually heal everything?”

Having lived fruitful years comprising of bliss and misery intertwined, outlining your journey through the spiral, you’ve never been able to accept the phrase that time taught you to preach for itself.
Time, surprisingly, never healed! All it did was to leave you alone and suffer.

Time isn’t something that healed your wounds. Neither was it the medication to set you free of pain. All that time did was to preach you the overwhelming lesson of living with pain.
Time itself brought with itself bliss enveloped in misery. For every time you yearned for smiles your will to achieve it got into testing. There were times while living to heart-ache didn’t end up into sparkling smiles. During then, you suffered in the HOPE to receive a positive end to your sufferings.
Time passed and all you could do was to hope and then one fine day, hope too left. But then, it didn't ache much, you were now immune to the hurt.
Time taught you to live with the pain it gave you.
Time taught you hope.
For the longing of hope, time taught you patience and you lived with all those teachings.
Thus, time never healed, it immunized. It wasn’t the medicine, as they said, it was the vaccine, as you learnt.
